This handbag can be made in two sizes. The method is the same but the clutch version is half the size. The complete kits all come with enough fabric to make the full size.
In the first part of the morning I will have a trunk show of all the different Kelly's Kiss versions. I will demo several ways to transfer a design for free motion. Another option is to create a border with machine decorative stitches. Of course an embroidery design always looks great. I will demo the application of some exciting new purse hardware products for your next project.

The Basic Kit Fee for this event is $18 and includes the pattern and purse frame. The regular price is $25. I will have Complete Kits availablewhich will include the pattern, frame, fabric and batting. Iwill bring kits and fabric to purchase at the event. If you would like to reserve a kit ahead of time, just email me and I will set it aside and bring it to class. Not all of these kits may be available on the day of the class. But I will list new ones regularly. The class fee must be prepaid but the kits can be paid for in class.

Supply List for all: 1. Sewing machine in good working order. Don't forget the foot pedal if you need it. 2. Scissors, pins, hand sewing needle, sewing thread, seam ripper, rotary cutter, ruler, small mat (the last 3 items are optional, you can just use your scissors). 3. Decorative thread to embellish 4. The straight and zig zag stitch are the basic stitches for this project. If you would like to try free motion please bring that foot too. Bring several pieces of muslin or scrap fabrics and batting in approximately 12" by 12" sizes to practice. 5. Machine needles: Size 80 for quilting fabrics, quilting needles for free motion, 90 for tapestry or denim, topstitch for heavier fabrics. I am sure Laura will have a supply.
If you are using your own fabrics and batting: 1. Bring two fabrics, 1/2 yard each. 2. Bring batting of your choice and prewashed muslin (or lightweight leave-in stabilizer), 12" x 24". Bring two pieces of each if you want both sides quilted.
The Complete Kits include Air Lite batting which has scrims on each side of the batt. The light weight scrims keep the batting from pulling out to the front of the fabric. It also acts as a stabilizer and eliminates the need for muslin when stitching the layers with free motion, machine embroidery, and machine deco stitching.

So far, we are bringing our own lunches. There is a great restaurant just a couple of doors down from Laura’s. They make great salads, sandwiches, and entrees. We will provide some soft drinks, chips, and dessert. If you are coming from out of town, please let us helpyou find lodging close by.
